We
are three sisters, Elizabeth, Alison and Louise. We set up our company,
Sororis d.o.o, in Rovinj over two years ago and have been visiting
regularly ever since. We
have made many friends there, who have helped us to organise our
bridge and painting holidays. We come from a bridge playing family and
now have three generations playing in club, county
and internationally. On holiday, we like to relax and have fun
so the emphasis will be on sociable and friendly duplicate bridge.
Your host for bridge and tutor will be Paul
Spencer. He is a Grand Master and has played bridge for England. A keen golfer, Paul is also noted, as are the sisters, for his
love of good food, wine and fine restaurants.
Organising the painting side of the holiday will be Matilda Zanini.
Matilda
is a well respected Croatian artist who lives and works in Rovinj.
Matilda studied Fine Arts and History of Art at the University of
Rijeka where she also took a teaching degree. In 2002 she began
lecturing in art technique at the Open University in Rovinj where she
founded and runs very popular workshops, teaching adults and children.
Matilda works with her students on line, colour, composition, form and
space. She teaches a variety of techniques with different materials
including watercolour and is very keen to support each student to
develop their own style and creativity. Matilda is a working artist who
is widely exhibited. She is particularly admired for her vibrant style.
