![]() Rovinj and the surrounding area have a wide variety of things to enjoy.
Rovinj is a perfect place to paint, particularly because of the unusual light and for anyone wanting some tuition, we can organise this with a local Istrian artist. Rovinj is renowned for its artists and craftsmen - last year many of our guests met Jan, a creative Rovinjian jewellery designer, who works with gems and local stones. We are hoping to be able to organise some tennis at the Rovinj tennis club. Please let us know when you confirm your booking if you would like to play. After strolling the cobbled streets of this historic little town, many people are happy to while away the day in the relaxed bars and cafes by the harbour. Cycling is very popular and maps of the cycle tracks are available from the Tourist Office. Cycle or walk the coastal path, combined with a swim in the Adriatic. There are a number of excellent restaurants in and around Rovinj. Last year the group enjoyed a swim, followed by a delicious lunch at Restaurant Blu, with stunning views across the bay to Rovinj. Lunch was followed by a bridge seminar on the terrace. Included in the holiday price is a visit to Groznjan and Motovun, very beautiful and ancient hill towns in the Mirna Valley. Visit the islands in the bay of Rovinj - there are regular boat trips from the harbour. Pula, where there is a very impressive Roman amphitheatre is about 40 minutes away. Venice can be reached by catamaran; depending on the boat timetable, a day trip can be organised. |
