This holiday is for people who enjoy their bridge and are looking for a bridge holiday with something extra - so we are arranging painting tuition in the mornings for those who want to try their hand at painting as well. For everybody there will be excursions into the Istrian countryside, including winetasting at a local vineyard.
The bridge will be for players of all standards (except perhaps complete beginners and those looking for a competitive congress). Play with a regular partner, or come on your own and ring the changes. The sessions will be hosted by Paul Spencer, a former England international player. Paul explains bridge technique in a refreshing and original manner - always entertaining and much appreciated by his followers from Alpine Bridge, for whom he teaches during the winter. There will be prizes instead of master points.

Each morning, you will meet for coffee at a harbourside cafe before being taken to your painting spot for that day.

We will arrange for bridge sessions to be held in the late afternoon followed by dinner, or in the evening after an early dinner, depending on the group's preference.

On the first evening you will meet Paolo for a glass of Istrian champagne at Baccus Winebar. Paolo owns Baccus and he will be your guide on the trip to the local vineyard. You will also meet Paul Spencer, your bridge host and Matilda Zanini, who will organise your painting tuition. Then dinner at Al Gastaldo, a stylish but cosy restaurant nestling in the old narrow streets, followed by a few hands of bridge.
